Russian author's son found dead
Police in Russia have arrested a man suspected of abducting and killing the 13-year-old son of one of the country's most prolific science fiction writers.

Police said Ivan Kostalyev, 20, had confessed to the killing of Ivan Belyanin, whose body was found in the city of Astrakhan on Thursday.

Ivan's father, Andrei Belyanin, has written 15 novels, many of which have sold more than two million copies.

He told police on Tuesday that his son had been kidnapped, Russian media said.

According to Itar-Tass news agency, the abductors had demanded a ransom of $100,000.

When the suspect came to collect the ransom, he was arrested and told police that the teenager had already been killed, the agency said.

Ivan's body was later found under a bridge in Astrakhan. Police said he had been strangled.
