The Kosovo Liberation Army says Serb forces are burning houses as they withdraw from the south of Kosovo.
A BBC correspondent in the hills overlooking the town of Kacanik said a cloud of smoke is hanging over that part of the valley.
Our correspondent says there's no one left in Kacanik except for Yugoslav forces and that the large volume of smoke is consistent with the KLA's charge that Serb forces are torching the remaining houses.
The KLA has declared a ceasefire in order to speed the withdrawal of Serb forces from Kosovo -- but our correspondent says this could now be at risk.
