Kosovo Albanian language newspaper relaunched

Kosovo's main Albanian language newspaper, Koha Ditore, has been relaunched from Macedonia after Serbian police razed its offices in the Kosovo regional capital of Pristina a month ago.

From next week free copies will be distributed among the hundreds of thousands of Kosovo Albanian refugees in Macedonia and Albania.

The editor, Baton Haxhiu, said the paper aimed to reinstil dignity and hope among the refugees, to help defuse ethnic tension in Macedonia and to encourage debate on establishing democracy in Kosovo after the Serbian forces are ousted.
