Swimmers in Guernsey challenge
View of part of Guernsey
The six swimmers will be in the sea for an hour at a time
Six Jersey swimmers are swimming around Guernsey.

Ian Anderson of the Jersey Long Distance Swimming Club says they are hoping Guernsey residents will see it as a bit of a challenge.

They are swimming in relay, so each member of the team will be in the water for an hour at a time.

They are hoping to complete the estimated 22 miles in nine hours, but the timing depends on the weather.

The challenge was due to take place on Saturday but a poor weather forecast lead the swimmers to postpone the challenge.

The challenge got under way from Castle Cornet.
