The Montenegrin journalists' association has protested against attempts by the Yugoslav army to stop independent radio stations from transmitting news bulletins by international broadcasters.
The Montenegrin government is also opposing the moves.
The army has been seeking to enforce Yugoslav emergency rules governing the media following the appointment of an ally of President Milosevic as army chief in Montenegro -- Serbia's partner in the Yugoslav Federation.
Earlier, the Yugoslav navy rejected demands by the chief of the Montenegrin port of Bar for its warships to leave, to lower the risk of NATO attacking.
