Passport costs to rise
Passports
A standard passport will cost £42
Jersey travellers will have to pay 30% more for a passport because of extra security measures.

From 2 October an adult passport will cost £42, as part of a worldwide increase in prices.

Jersey's Passport Office says people's travel documents must be harder to forge and should carry more information on the person travelling.

The cost of amending a passport has also gone up to £42, while a child's passport will go up to £25 pounds.

All passports around the world are subject to a similar rise because of greater security concerns.
