Six foreign workers found to be working illegally in Sark have been ordered to leave the Bailiwick.
The discovery followed a visit to the island by immigration officials.
They discovered the workers, five polish and one south African, in the island without work permits.
The Chief Officer of Immigration, Brian Richings, said people must in possession of a work permit before entering the UK.
"They had all arrived in the Bailiwick over the last couple of months as visitors," he said.
"They had asked to enter the islands as visitors, which they were granted, but as visitors you are not allowed to work."
