Alderney is to be represented at a world forum on online gambling.
The event was to be held in Toronto in Canada last month, but was delayed and moved to Montreal because of the Sars outbreak.
Online gambling allows people to place their bets using the internet.
Representatives from Alderney will be hoping to show the island has the ideal infrastructure for online gambling businesses and encourage companies to use the island.
Andre Wilsenach, chief executive of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, will also be taking part in a round-table discussion on regulation.
Mr Wilsenach said Alderney's decision to regulate its gambling industry properly showed the island was heading in the right direction.
The first Alderney-based on-line casino went live in May.
Bonne Terre Limited was issued an Interactive Gaming Licence on 27 September last year by the Gambling Control Commission.
