In pictures: Russia's avalanche
Russian emergency workers are continuing to search for 100 missing people after a powerful avalanche hit a village in southern Russia late on Friday night.

So far five bodies have been recovered from the deluge of mud and snow which swamped a village in the republic of North Ossetia, about 940 miles (1,500 km) south-east of Moscow.
