Italy Mafia Priest

Italian police have revealed that a Roman Catholic priest was among seven people arrested in Sicily today on Mafia-related charges.

Father Mario Frittitta, a Carmelite monk, was accused of repeatedly saying mass for members of the Mafia wanted by the police.

The police say he held services in a hideout of one of the godfathers of the Sicilian Cosa Nostra, Pietro Aglieri, wanted for the assassination of the anti-Mafia judge Paolo Borsellino in Palermo in 1992.
