In pictures: Ukraine air show disaster

A fighter plane has crashed into a crowd of spectators killing at least 70 people at an air show near the western Ukrainian city of Lviv.

The jet was performing aerobatics as part of celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of a local air force unit.

When it lost control and dived into the airfield

And crashed into the stand of spectators bursting into flames

Many people were injured by the flying debris

Emergency workers rushed to their aid

While firefighters tried to extinguish the blaze

But the wreckage continued to burn
