Violent thunderstorms have wreaked havoc across northern Germany, claiming the lives of at least seven people.
The overnight storm affected Berlin and the surrounding state of Brandenburg worst of all (AP)
Winds of 150 km/h (90 mph) brought trees crashing down in Berlin (AP)
More than 1,000 trees were uprooted in the storm (AP)
A camping site at the Wannsee lake was badly hit (AP)
