Palestine destination angers Jewish passengers
Arguments broke out between passengers and crew on an Air France flight from Paris to Tel Aviv after a pilot described the final destination as Israel-Palestine. Israeli army radio said Jewish and Israeli passengers on the flight were angered by the announcement over the plane's loud-speaker system on the way to Israel's Ben Gurion airport. Some of the passengers complained to the airport authorities and the Israeli Border Police after landing. Israeli police said that the pilot did not get off the plane and the matter had been referred to the Foreign Office. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
