In pictures: Bush's Normandy tribute
US President George W Bush has been marking American Memorial Day with a visit to Normandy, site of the D-Day landings and World War II cemeteries.
The president also visited Sainte-Mere-Eglise, the first French town liberated from the Germans by US troops.
