A court in Italy has sentenced eighteen Mafia bosses to life imprisonment for involvement in the killing six years ago of the European Parliament member, Salvo Lima.
Some of those sentencesd are already in custody, including the former top figure in the Sicilian Mafia, Salvatore Riina.
He's been sentenced to several life sentences for other crimes.
Mr Lima, who was an aid to former prime minister, Giulio Andreotti, was shot dead near Palermo, for allegedly failing to secure the release from prison of several leading Mafiosi.
