Vodka wars in Moscow

The headquarters of the Smirnov vodka company in Moscow have been stormed in a growing dispute over control of the drinks firm.

Masked gunmen were seen forcing the doors and smashing through windows as security guards hurled vodka bottles to try to drive them off.

It follows a court ruling backing the appointment of a new company director Sergei Yuzefov, who's opposed by Boris Smirnov, great-grandson of the vodka firm's founder.
