Jovan Stankovic
A hard-working midfielder who performs well on the wings, Jovan Stankovic played four seasons at Red Star Belgrade but has improved immeasurably since moving to Real Mallorca in 1995.
He has recently returned from a three-month lay off after injury but should feature in the championships.
Stankovic made his Yugoslav debut in a 1-1 draw against Brazil in September 1998, but his progression at international level has been patchy.
He started just three games in the qualifiers for Euro 2000 but, although he is criticised for not scoring many goals, his creativity and strength could be invaluable this summer.
