Bayern set sights on Sukur
Hakan Sukur
Sukur's Uefa Cup win could trigger transfer
Bayern Munich are keen to sign Turkish striker Hakan Sukur from Galatasaray.

Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has confirmed his interest in the 28-year-old, nicknamed the Bull of the Bosphorous.

Sukur inspired Galatasaray to victory in the Uefa Cup final, though he is expected to leave now that coach Fatih Terim has departed for Fiorentina.

The forward has reportedly been offered a three-year contract at Bayern worth 5m, with Galatasaray setting a transfer fee of around 8.5m.

According to the Turkish paper 'Milliyet' Sukur, who had an unhappy spell Serie A side Torino, confirmed the offer.

He will not make a decision on his playing future until after the European Championship.
