Henrik Larsson
When he broke his leg in a UEFA Cup tie in Lyon back in October, Larsson was certainly on form. He had just scored a hat trick against Aberdeen to make it 12 goals in the first 13 games of the season and an overall tally of 67 goals in 108 games since joining Celtic from Feyenoord in July 97. His international record is less impressive, but he was still Sweden's top scorer in the qualifiers with three goals in eight games. He ran England ragged in the opening qualifier and then scored the winner against Bulgaria. He also scored against Luxembourg and the second against Poland which clinched England's place in the play-off.
