Niclas Alexandersson

Niclas Alexandersson
The Sheffield Wednesday player is essential on the right of midfield for his national side, often chipping in with goals in decisive games.

He scored the winning goals against Bulgaria and Luxembourg that ensured Sweden's Euro qualification.

Combines goal scoring acumen with a skilful, hard running style that enables Sweden to hit teams hard on the break.

Has 39 caps, starting with a debut against Austria in 1993, and five international goals.

Moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 1998 after international colleague Roland Nilsson recommended him to Ron Atkinson.
