Barjuan Sergi

Sergi Barjuan
One of Spain's best players at Euro 96, playing in all four games culminating with a fine performance against England in the quarter-finals.

A diminutive but incredibly tricky player who is at his most dangerous making telling runs on the left flank.

Sergi scored on his international debut against Poland in February 1994 and has made the left back slot his own since the 1994 World Cup.

He joined Barcelona's amateur side in 1990, and lived at the club's residential school at Le Masia for three years and made his first-team debut under Johan Cruyff at Galatasaray's Ali Sami Yen Stadium.

His place in Spain's starting line-up is now in doubt following this season's relegation to the bench for Barcelona.
