Mladen Rudonja

Mladen Rudonja
Hard-working left-sided midfielder who is often utilised in a more forward role, particularly when Slovenia need to score goals.

Has played for a number of clubs at home, including Koper, Izola and Olimpija.

He has also joined up with Zagreb in nearby Croatia.

This well travelled and experienced player was transferred to Belgian club St Truidense in October 1998 and the local fans have named him 'Turbo Rudy' because of his turn of speed and predatory instincts in front of goal.

He usually plays as the central striker for his club side and scored 10 times last season.

Rudonja is a versatile player and has the composure to play at the back, but his skills and crossing ability mean he is likely to be deployed in a free role on the left for the championships.
