Florin Prunea

Prunea is a goalkeeping journeyman, having played for a number of Romanian clubs before leaving for Turkish club Erzurumspor.

He returned to Romania with newly-promoted AS Astra Ploiesti during the 1998/99 season, but then moved on quickly to FC Universitatea Craiova in October 1999.

Made his Romanian debut in a 1992 European Championship qualifier against San Marino and subsequently shared the number one jersey with Bogdan Stelea.

Played in three matches at the 1994 World Cup, and made one appearance at Euro 96 in England.

Occasionally loses concentration with the long crosses but is a fantastic shot-stopper.

With the development of the young keeper Bogdan Lobont, Prunea may struggle to get in the first team this summer.
