Cosmin Contra
Contra had seemed unlikely to feature in Emerich Jenei's first choice team due to Dan Petrescu's ownership of the right-sided full back position.
However, Petrescu has been increasingly employed by Jenei in the more advanced role he enjoys at Chelsea - thus creating an opening at the back for the attack-minded Contra, who is highly rated at his Spanish club, Alaves.
He joined the Spaniards from Dinamo Bucharest in the 1998/1999 season.
Despite Petrescu's pre-eminence, he has managed to amass nine caps with his debut coming against Georgia in April 1996.
