Vitor Baia
Baia has more than proved he's back to his brilliant best this season with some startling displays in the Porto number one shirt.
The Portuguese stopper signed for Barcelona during Bobby Robson's reign as manager in the 1996/97 season but after Robson's departure his form deteriorated.
This season, Baia has returned to Porto on loan and his excellent form played a huge part in their run in the Champions League.
His recent international form has been exemplary and he conceded just four goals in their Euro 2000 qualifying campaign to ensure Portugal moved into the finals.
He is now regarded as one of the best shot-stoppers in European football and his flamboyance and experience will be crucial if Portugal are to progress beyond the group stages.
