Ståle Solbakken

Ståle Solbakken
Was a regular member of the Norway team under the leadership of Egil Olsen being a pivotal figure in qualifying for France 98.

The attacking midfielder also helped greatly in the Euro 2000 qualifiers, although he has been keeping the bench warm in recent games.

Had an insignificant spell at Wimbledon, only to become Player of the Year in Denmark soon after.

Utilises his fine distribution skills with Danish club AaB Aalborg and his work rate is second-to-none.

A dangerous player when surging forward and likes to take the free-kicks around the penalty box.

Made his Norwegian debut in a 3-1 win over Wales in March 1994.

May not be a regular first team player this summer but is more than capable of turning a game from the substitutes bench.
