Thomas Myhre
Joined Everton in November 1997 and made an excellent debut, keeping a clean sheet against a fine Leeds United side. A commanding keeper known for excellent communication with his defence and phenomenal reflex saves. Kept Neville Southall out of the Everton goal and despite a few errors during the fight against relegation at Goodison Park in the 1997/98 season remained in the Norway squad for the World Cup in France. His form continued during a loan period at Rangers elevating him to the national team. Was unable to displace Paul Gerrard as Everton's number one and then suffered a huge set back breaking his ankle while training with Norway in June 1999. Recently joined Birmingham City on-loan. Made international debut in a 2-0 win against Denmark in April 1998. May struggle to get the number one spot above Frode Olsen but is a very dependable replacement if and when required.
