Bjornebye seals Rovers deal
![]() Stig Inge Bjornebye: roving to Blackburn
Norwegian international Stig Inge Bjornebye has completed his £300,000 move from Liverpool to Blackburn Rovers.
The 30-year-old full-back has signed a three-year contract with the Nationwide First Division club. It is the second time he has signed for manager Graeme Souness, who bought him to Liverpool from Rosenborg for £700,000 in 1992. Bjornebye played in 200 senior games at Anfield and has been capped 70 times for Norway, who bowed out of Euro 2000 at the group stage. He said: "I have been discussing the possibility of coming To Blackburn with Graeme for some weeks now and I am glad it has all been sorted. "You only have to take a quick look around to see the potential." Bjornebye is Blackburn's second signing of the summer following the £1.5million acquisition from Manchester United of England Under-21 defender John Curtis.
