Montella is a superb young striker and has been hailed as one of the most prolific goalscorers to emerge in Italian football in many years.

By the end of last season he had already scored 54 Serie A goals from just 83 appearances and this season he added another 18.

Began his career with Empoli before moving to Genoa and then on to Sampdoria. After their relegation last season Montella moved to Roma for £15.3m.

After initially struggling to establish himself he has now developed as a fine all round player, with excellent passing and dribbling skills.

Could be a real star for Italy this summer.
