Francesco Antonioli

Antonioli has only been called into the squad after Angelo Peruzzi refused to travel as third-choice goalkeeper.

The Roma number one is a very experienced player and should not be under-estimated.

He started his career with hometown side Monza in Serie C before moving on to AC Milan, where he made a mere 13 first-team appearances in seven seasons.

Had a loan spell with Pisa in 1993 and then played for Bologna where he finally had the chance to perform in the first-team.

This well-travelled keeper then moved to Roma last year where his tally for Serie A games is now well over 100.

He has had a fine domestic season and fully deserves his squad place, although the bench is the closest he may get to the pitch for the Championships.
