Trezeguet set for Juve

French international David Trezeguet is poised to join Italian giants Juventus in a £14.3m deal.
According to reports in Italy, the 22-year-old striker will put pen to paper in the next few days after his club, Monaco, reached an agreement with the Serie A club. Sports daily Corriere dello Sport said Trezeguet has been offered a five-year contract, with the forward receiving £1.4m from the overall transfer fee. Trezeguet scored 22 league goals for Monaco this season and possesses blinding pace. Big-money A member of France's World Cup-winning squad, he was raised in Argentina before signing for Monaco as a 17-year-old. Trezeguet's move is the latest big-money transfer to involved players competing in Euro 2000. Turkish international striker Hakan Sukur recently agreed to sign for Inter Milan while Portuguese star Joao Pinto will join Sporting Lisbon after the Championship.
