Martin Keown is Tony Adams' defensive partner at Arsenal and has developed into a very solid centre-half.
He is strong in the air, robust in the tackle and his dedication and commitment have earned him the reputation as one of England's most improved players.
In the early part of his career, many people criticised Keown for his poor passing ability and limited skills but the former Everton and Aston Villa defender worked hard at his game and has developed into a hugely talented player.
He has also become a vital part of one of Europe's meanest defences at Highbury and the dependable figure of Keown will challenge Sol Campbell to partner Adams in the early stages of Euro 2000. Made his international debut in 1992 against France.
