Nigel Martyn

After another brilliant season in the Premiership, many believe Nigel Martyn has become one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Europe.

Martyn's commanding performances and crucial saves were one of a number of factors behind Leeds' strong season both domestically and in Europe.

As well as being a wonderful shot stopper, Martyn can count himself unlucky that he has had to live in the shadow of England and Arsenal stalwart David Seaman.

The former Crystal Palace keeper made his international debut back in 1992 against the CIS and offers Kevin Keegan a superb deputy should Seaman suffer a dip in form or any kind of injury.

Under a different manager, Martyn may well have established himself as England's number one.
