Campbell focused on national duties
Amidst all the speculation about where Sol Campbell's club future ultimately lies, the England defender is fully focused on helping his country this summer.
The Tottenham captain's contract expires at the end of next season and he has been constantly linked with big money moves to a number of high-profile clubs in Britain and abroad, Manchester United apparently at the front of the queue.
Not surprisingly, manager George Graham is anxious to extend Campbell's stay at White Hart Lane as he bids to re-build the north London club's fortunes.
But Campbell stressed: "We're here playing for England now and I'm not thinking about Tottenham at the moment.
"The Premiership season is over and I'm not going to talk about my contract.
"When Euro 2000 finishes, I'll come back from holiday and we'll start all over again but there's nothing really needing to be discussed.
"It's up to the manager and chairman. I'm just a player."
Of England's form in the build-up to Euro 2000, Campbell added:
"I'm sure we're heading in the right direction. We don't want to peak too early."
The Spurs man is also under no illusions that playing on the international stage is a little different to the weekly grind of domestic football.
"We play week in week out in the Premiership but this is a different type of football," he said.
"You've got to be a bit more switched on."
