Surely one of the luckiest men in football, Michael Schjonberg helped Kaiserslautern to promotion in 1996 and was rewarded by a Hanover Brewery with the offer of free beer for the rest of his natural life.
On the down side, he has been in and out of the national team lately, usually competing with Jan Heintze for a berth on the left of defence.
