Srnicek quits Owls
Cezh Republic goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek is looking for a new club following Sheffield Wednesday's relegation from the Premiership last season.
The 32-year-old keeper, who was in excellent form for the Czechs during their all-too-brief Euro 2000 adventure, said: "I have finished my spell with Sheffield Wednesday and I am completely free to talk to anyone now.
"I have already had offers from abroad.
"I feel I have another four or five years left to play at the top level. That's what my Czech coach Josef Chovanec believes anyway."
With his Hillsborough contract having expired, Srnicek is available on a free transfer under the Bosman freedom of contract ruling.
He has shared the goalkeeping duties for the Owls with Kevin Pressman since joining from Newcastle United and has been linked with a return to St James' Park.
His departure is an early blow to new Wednesday manager Paul Jewell as he bids to take the club back to the top flight at the first attempt.
