Marc Hendrikx

Marc Hendrikx
Marc Hendrikx now operates as a left-back having initially been a right winger.

A two-footed player, he is still relatively untested at international level.

In 1997-98 Hendrikx was mainly used as a substitute by Genk but he did play in their Belgian Cup Final victory over Club Brugge KV.

The following season he established himself as a first team regular, starting 33 games and scoring five goals.

His excellent form was rewarded with a call-up to the international side and he made his debut against Peru in the Kirin Cup in Japan.

With his ability to get forward and score, Hendrikx is an attacking option for coach Robert Waseige and his versatility could prove invaluable during Euro 2000.
