Nuno Gomes heads Portugal into the lead

Sergio Conceicao keeps his place in the Portuguese side after scoring a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over Germany.

Turkey make three changes following their 2-0 victory over Belgium - but star striker Hakan Sukur is passed fit after shaking off an ankle injury.

6 mins: Arif Erdem tries his luck from long range but sees his shot fly high over the crossbar.

8 mins: Luis Figo shakes off his marker before chipping the ball invitingly towards the six-yard box. Nuno Gomes just fails to get a touch.

13 mins: Hakan Unsal is lucky to escape a booking after bringing down Joao Pinto in full flow.

15 mins: Rustu Recber needs treatment after falling awkwardly in the penalty area after claiming a cross.

Figo shows his skill

19 mins: Rustu pulls off a terrific point-blank save from Francisco Costinha after Figo's corner avoids everyone in the six-yard box. The goalkeeper is injured in the process but is able to carry on after his chest is strapped up.

23 mins: Figo jinks his way past two Turkish players before sending a right-foot shot from 20 yards just wide of Rustu's right-hand post.

26 mins: Sukur rises above Fernando Couto to meet Ogun's free kick with a powerful header that clears the crossbar by a foot.

28 mins: Pinto is the first player cautioned after fouling Unsal.

29 mins: Turkey suffer a major blow when Alpay is sent off for retaliation after clashing with Couto on the edge of Portugal's penalty area. Couto clutches his head but the decisive blow comes from the boot of one of his team-mates, not Alpay.

Fatih blocks Figo

33 mins: Okan falls foul of the referee as the game starts to get niggly and is booked.

37 mins: The cautions continue, with Couto next to enter the referee's notebook after felling Arif.

39 mins: Rui Costa becomes the third Portugal player to be yellow-carded after showing dissent to an assistant referee.

40 mins: Costinha is the next to be cautioned after he catches Tayfun late.

43 mins: Costinha goes close with a header as Rustu misjudges Figo's corner.

44 mins: Gomes finally breaks the deadlock when he gets to Figo's right-wing cross ahead of his marker to direct a header past Rustu.

45 mins: Pinto shoots inches wide in injury time from Rui Costa's left-wing cross.

45 mins: The game is stopped after Ogun and Couto clash heads. Couto is able to continue but Ogun has to leave the field while he gets treatment.

45 mins: Turkey are awarded a penalty when Couto is judged to have brought down Arif. But Vitor Baia saves Arif's poor spotkick and Portugal remain in the lead.

46 mins: Paulo Sousa comes on for Costinha at the start of the second half.

51 mins: Baia spills a corner but Tayfur can only loop a shot just over the crossbar.

56 mins: Gomes slots the ball into an empty net for his second of the game after being set up by Figo.

67 mins: Rustu saves a long-range effort from Conceicao.
