Arnhem 10 mins: Slovenia's Miran Pavlin is carried off on a stretcher but makes a rapid recovery and is soon back in the action. 15 mins: Marinko Galic hacks the ball away at full stretch as Steffen Iversen looks to pounce on the edge of the six-yard box. 21 mins: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's teasing cross is picked out by Iversen, who looks to help the ball on but succeeds only in winning a corner. 24 mins: Erik Mykland is booked for failing to retreat at af free kick, his second yellow card of the tournament ruling him out of the quarter finals if Norway make it. 25 mins: Tore Andre Flo is winded in an aerial challenge with Knavs Aleksander as Slovenia fulfill their pre-match promise to get tough. 28 mins:Ermin Siljak issues the first threat, flashing a left foot shot wide of the post from a Slovenian corner. 29 mins: Norway clearly do not heed the warning as Zeljko Milinovic is presented with a great chance to open the scoring, but fails to connect from eight yards out. 35 mins: Pavlin floats a left-foot shot agonisingly wide of the far post, with goalkeeper Thomas Myrhe rooted to his line. 37 mins: A cleverly-worked Norway free kick sees Mykland flick the ball up for Iversen to volley, but the shot flies wide, with Carew just failing to connect at the far post. 43 mins: Pavlin booked for cynical block on Carew as the striker looked to run clear. 45 mins: Amir Karic's free kick is met by a brave diving header from Siljak, but his effort whistles just past Myhre's near post. 48 mins: A goalmouth scramble ends with Siljak's shot blocked by Bjornebye and referee Graham Poll waves away Slovenian appeals for handball against the defencer. 55 mins: Carew touches the ball on to Solskjaer, but he curls his shot high and wide. 56 mins: Siljak finally has the ball in the back of the net, but the whistled had already gone after the striker had wrestled his way past Bjornebye. 60 mins: Slovenia continue to do the pressing, Mladen Rudonja hitting a shot on the overlap that Myhre comfortably gathers. 58 mins: Solskjaer's frustration up front comes to a head as he is booked for a reckless challenge on Stale Solbakken. 61 mins:Carew's return to the side is short lived. The striker is replaced by Leeds midfielder Eirik Bakke. 69 mins: Bakke is quickly into the action, flashing a volley over the Norwegian crossbar.
71 mins: Zahovic crosses low looking for Siljak, but the striker can't quite reach the ball and the chance goes begging. 76 mins: Zahovic tumbles in the penalty area as he is caught by Bjorn Otto Bragstad, but the challenge is deemed accidental. From the resulting corner, Galic blazes over from the edge of the box. 82 mins: Bakke's involvement is short and sweet as a leg injury forces him out, to be replaced by Roar Strand.
