Craig and Claire face Brother eviction
![]() Craig and Claire face a tense week
New Big Brother housemate Claire and Liverpool builder Craig are the latest contestants to face eviction in Channel 4's surveillance gameshow.
The two are among five contestants remaining in a specially-built house in London which is filled with cameras and microphones tracking their every move. Viewers will choose which one they want to see kicked out of the house on Friday in the show's penultimate vote for eviction. After next week's eviction process is over, three people will remain and viewers will vote for a winner, who will receive £70,000. Nominations blunder However, the nomination process - which is meant to be carried out in secret - went badly wrong on Monday when the whole house heard that Darren - a 22-year-old south Londoner - wanted to evict Melanie and Craig.
Both Darren and Melanie were shocked, though Craig admitted he had voted for Darren anyway. Eventually, the first round of nominations were scrapped and the whole process started again. "Big Brother understands the nominations should be confidential," the housemates were told. "Big Brother is very sorry." Claire, a 25-year-old florist from Buckinghamshire, entered the house on 19 August after previous contestant "Nasty" Nick Bateman was disqualified for cheating. Since then viewers have picked up on her flirtatious nature - especially with 28-year-old Craig, who runs his own building company. Frolic On Monday night, TV viewers saw her hide his chocolates after he had eaten her sweets. Internet viewers have also seen the pair frolic in a hot tub installed in the house's garden.
The show's website has already entered the top 50 sites used by UK internet users, as measured by an independent survey. Researchers at MMXI Europe counted 874,000 people using the site in July - covering the period up to Sada's eviction, but coming before Nick's disqualification, which saw traffic grow dramatically. Even though the figures covered the series' first few weeks, it beat established sites such as Lastminute.com and Tesco's home delivery operation. More recently, Channel 4 estimated the Big Brother site was attracting up to 150,000 visitors each day.
