The mother of a child with Down's syndrome has described how upset she felt when the comedian Frankie Boyle made jokes about the condition during his act.

The material was used during his show on Wednesday in Reading at the start of his latest tour.

Sharon Smith, who has a five-year-old daughter with Down's, said that although she knew the comedian was well known for his risqué material, she found the jokes extremely offensive.
