Ellen DeGeneres has made her debut as a judge on American Idol joining Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi at critiquing the contestants.
The comedienne told the wannabe singers she believed she was qualified to be a part of the show because she knows what it takes to be on stage and have to perform.
