Celebrity Big Brother 2010 line-up

The final series of Celebrity Big Brother has begun on Channel 4, with 12 participants entering the house.

Some are household names but a few will be unfamiliar to many. Here, then, is a brief rundown of who they are and what they do.

Ivana Trump

Ivana Trump was born in 1949 in what is now the Czech Republic and was selected at the age of 23 for the Czechoslovak Olympic ski team.

She is best known for her 14-year marriage - and multi-million dollar divorce - from property magnate Donald Trump.

As a couple they were leading figures in New York high society.

Since their split, in 1992, the socialite has developed her own lines of clothing, fashion jewellery and beauty products.

She has also written several bestselling books and played a cameo role in the Hollywood film The First Wives Club.

Stephen Baldwin
Baldwin is an actor, as are his older brothers Alec, William and Daniel

The youngest of the Baldwin brothers, 43-year-old Stephen is best known for his role in 1995 thriller The Usual Suspects.

The actor became a born-again Christian after the 9/11 terror attacks and now hosts an evangelical radio show.

The director of his own ministry, he recently wrote a book entitled Unusual Suspect in which he discussed his religious beliefs.

Last year he appeared on the US version of reality TV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

DJ Basshunter
The 25-year-old says Big Brother is his favourite reality TV show

Born Jonas Erik Altberg in Halmstad, Sweden, the singer, producer and DJ started making music in his bedroom at the age of 18.

His debut single, Boten Anna, was the first Swedish language song to reach number one on numerous charts around the world.

The English version of the track, Now You're Gone, knocked Coldplay off the top of the UK charts in 2007 and stayed at number one for five weeks.

Jonas, who was DJ at a New Year's Eve party for the President of Kazakhstan, has spoken publicly in the past about growing up with Tourette syndrome.

Stephanie Beacham
Beacham was born deaf in her right ear and has 75% hearing in her left

The 62-year-old actress is well known for her roles in Tenko, Dynasty spin-off The Colbys and Bad Girls.

More recently she was seen in Coronation Street as Martha, an eccentric actress who lives on a canal barge.

Beacham is no stranger to reality television, having appeared on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2007.

Divorced from actor John McEnery, she has two daughters and one grandson.

Dane Bowers
The Another Level member went on to front UK garage act Truesteppers

The 30-year-old singer, songwriter and producer had seven top 10 singles as a member of boy band Another Level.

After the group split in 2000, Dane had another hit with Spice Girl Victoria Beckham on her debut solo single Out of Your Mind.

Dane has a son with ex-girlfriend Emma-Jane North and had a well publicised relationship with model Katie Price.

A former student of the Brit School, Bowers was seen on a celebrity version of Come Dine With Me in 2009.

Heidi Fleiss
Fleiss is an animal lover and is said to keep parrots

"Hollywood madam" Fleiss is best known for running a prostitution ring allegedly used by a number of famous clients.

Despite being arrested and jailed in the 1990s, Heidi has refused to name anyone in her "little black book".

The daughter of a Los Angeles paediatrician and former girlfriend of actor Tom Sizemore, 44-year-old Fleiss sold the rights to her life story in 2004 for a reported $3.1m (£1.9m).

In 2008, she was accused of unlawful use of methamphetamine and possession of the painkiller hydrocodone without a prescription.

Katia Ivanova
Ivanova is said to have ambitions to be a children's illustrator

Born Ekaterina Ivanova in Kyrgyzstan, 21-year-old Katia moved to London at the age of three with her parents, Sergei and Irina.

She is best known for being the former girlfriend of Ronnie Wood, long-time guitarist with the Rolling Stones.

Last month the 62-year-old was cautioned for common assault following an incident involving Ivanova in Esher, Surrey.

The former waitress said Wood was "still a friend" and supported her decision to take part in the show.

Vinnie Jones
44-year-old Jones is married with two children

Once known as the hard man of British football, Jones went on to carve out a successful second career as a film actor.

His role in Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels led to parts in such Hollywood movies as Gone in 60 Seconds and X-Men: The Last Stand.

As a footballer, he was best known for captaining the Wales team and being part of Wimbledon FC's so-called "Crazy Gang".

Last year he was found not guilty of assaulting a man during a fight in a South Dakota bar after claiming he had been acting out of self defence.

Alex Reid
Reid appeared with Katie Price on her ITV2 reality show What Katie Did Next

Aldershot-born Reid played Jason Cunliffe in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks between 2001 and 2002.

But he is perhaps better known for his work as a cage fighter and for his on-off relationship with glamour model Katie Price, aka Jordan.

The 34-year-old made headlines last year after photos of him dressed in women's clothes appeared in the national press.

Reid, who has had walk-on roles in such films as Eyes Wide Shut and Sliding Doors, said his cross-dressing was just "a bit of fun".

Sisqo's first solo album, Unleash The Dragon, went five times platinum

Born Mark Althavean Andrews, Sisqo is best known for his risque single The Thong Song.

The Baltimore-born artist gave an energetic rendition of the track as he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Sunday night.

Nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2001, the 31-year-old has since had roles in such films as Get Over It and Snow Dogs.

A former member of R&B group Dru Hill, he once appeared in US TV series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

Lady Sovereign
'Sov' was raised on a council estate in Wembley in north-west London

The London-born "grime" star - real name Louise Harman - began writing raps at the age of 14.

The 24-year-old is best known for her singles Love Me or Hate Me and Nine2Five, on which she performed with former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Samuel Preston of the Ordinary Boys.

In 2005 she met US rapper Jay-Z, who was so impressed he immediately signed her to his Def Jam record label.

Lady Sovereign - who likes to be called "Sov" - has since left the label and recently released a new album through her own.

Nicola T
Nicola is engaged to Crewe Alexandra midfielder Simon Walton

Glamour model Nicola Tappenden is well known for her topless appearances in The Sun.

Now 27, she appeared on ITV2's Wags Boutique while dating the West Ham and later Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

Nicola, who has a child with footballer Simon Walton, continues to model for men's magazines and plans to launch a music career later this year.

Raised in Croydon, south London, her other interests include an online clothing shop that raises money for worthy causes.
