Joe McElderry speaks to Radio 1 in his first radio interview since winning the X Factor.

The 18-year-old from South Shields won almost two-thirds (61.3%) of the votes in the final, compared with just over a third (38.7%) for rival Olly Murs, according to voting statistics released on The X Factor website.

Joe's school and college friends, family and neighbours were among thousands cheering him on at several organised parties on Tyneside.
