British pop star Natasha Bedingfield has been signed up to perform at next week's Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

The singer has been added to the bill, which also includes Wyclef Jean, Westlife and Toby Keith.

US President Barack Obama was chosen as the winner this year for his "efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

The concert, which will be hosted by actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, will be held in Oslo.

It is set to be broadcast to "a global television audience", and takes place the day after the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded.

Traditionally the winner attends the concert, however it has not yet been announced how long Mr Obama will stay in Oslo.

The Nobel Committee announced in October that Mr Obama was the latest recipient to receive the prestigious prize.

Mr Obama - said he was "surprised and deeply humbled" by the award.

Donna Summer, American jazz singer Esperanza Spading and Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi will also perform.
