US actress Debbie Reynolds is to return to the West End next year for her first London performances in 34 years.

The Singing in the Rain star is bringing her one-woman show, Debbie Reynolds Alive and Fabulous, to the Apollo Theatre.

The 77-year-old will reminisce about her career as a singer, dancer and actress, which spans 50 years.

As a pre-West End warm-up, she will perform a 15-date UK tour. The show will reach London in April.

Reynolds will also discuss her three marriages.

"It's a variety show," said Reynolds, the mother of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher.

"I get to do impressions of Barbra Streisand, Mae West, Katherine Hepburn - even Jimmy Stewart."

The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for 1964 film The Unsinkable Molly Brown, was discovered after she won a beauty contest at the age of 16.

In recent years, she has been seen on TV in the popular US comedy series Will and Grace, playing Grace's mother Bobbi Adler.
