Leona Lewis has spoken out about being attacked by a fan at a book signing.

She told the BBC's Sam Naz that "it could have been much worse" and she was "putting the past in the past".

Peter Kowalczyk, 29, was charged with striking the singer at Waterstone's in Piccadilly, central London, on 14 October.

The case has been adjourned until 23 November.
