A new production of Richard O'Brien's cult musical The Rocky Horror Show is opening in September.

The film tells the story of engaged sweethearts Brad and Janet who are forced to seek refuge in Frank n Furter's castle.

It first premiered at the Royal Court Theatre on 19 June 1973. Richard starred in the 1975 film adaptation as Riff Raff.

O'Brien spoke to BBC Breakfast about why it is still popular 30 years on.
