Actor Mark Wahlberg married long-term girlfriend Rhea Durham in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to reports.

The 38-year-old star of The Perfect Storm reportedly tied the knot at an intimate ceremony at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills.

The small congregation is said to have included their children Ella Rae, five, Michael, three and baby Brendan Joseph.

Earlier this year Wahlberg declared his intention to marry Durham, a model, who he had been dating since 2001.

"We're talking about August," he was quoted as saying. "Catholic church, small, family only, no media."

The youngest of nine siblings, Wahlberg first found fame as a Calvin Klein underwear model and as rapper 'Marky Mark'.

Branching out into acting, he earned plaudits for his performance as an adult film star in 1997's Boogie Nights.

A series of high-profile movies followed, among them remakes of The Italian Job and Planet of the Apes.

Oscar-nominated for The Departed in 2007, he will next be seen in Peter Jackson's adaptation of Alice Sebold's novel The Lovely Bones.
