Brown apologises for Rihanna assault

R&B singer Chris Brown has apologised publicly for the first time for assaulting his former girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.

The star, who has pleaded guilty to the attack, said he accepted full responsibility for his "inexcusable" actions.
